FMCT-pc1.

We are funding a preclinical study aimed at optimizing combinations of metabolic therapies to treat metastatic cancer. In general, this treatment modality, called the “press pulse” strategy, aims to “press” on the cancer cells by starving them of their preferred fuels followed by the application of oxidative stressors as a “pulse” to kill the cancer cells. Currently research is testing the inclusion of the glycolytic inhibitor 2-DG with DON (6-Diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine), HBOT, and a restricted ketogenic diet.
